As a textured hair expert with more than 10,000 hours of experience, my mission is to provide education, guidance and services that will improve your experience with your hair.
I look forward to providing you with hair care and expertise that will elevate your journey to healthier hair. Below you will find detailed service descriptions, the Scheduling Policy, Terms + Conditions (don't skim, please read it all) and link to book!
Every service is designed with techniques and education specific to textured hair. No matter where you are starting from, my goal is to take you to the next level!
REGIMEN COACHING (virtual) - 30 min
Get your healthy hair regimen on-track with personalized advice and next steps based on your hair needs and goals!
In this 30 minute virtual session we will:
- talk through your current routine and challenges.
- address concerns you have about the health of your hair, scalp and routine.
- review your current products and tools and discuss options for replacement/upgrades.
- establish a plan of action for you to follow to ensure all the pieces of your healthy hair journey are moving in the right direction (washday steps, styling/techniques, products, tools, damage repair, medical treatment, suggested content for instruction/learning).
You will receive a discount on MoKnowsHair products ordered after completion of your hair coaching session.
In order to get the most out of your session, make a note of your current regimen - methods and products you use, and prepare a list of questions you have regarding your hair care.
There is scheduling flexibility for Regimen Coaching - you can send an email request to appointments@moknowshair.com if the offered appointment times do not fit your schedule.
NOTE: This is a one-time, non-refundable consultation. You will receive an email reminder with link for video chat prior to your appointment time. This does NOT include any in-person hair service. There are no guarantees as results will vary based on client implementation and other factors. This is not a replacement for treatment or instructions from a licensed physician.
COLOR CONSULTATION (in-person) - 30 min
Hair color is a beautiful way to enhance the shape of your curls or elevate your look! Color is a commitment, so during the consultation we will cover every aspect of the color service from required frequency for touch-ups to at-home care. We will schedule your appointment during the consultation.
Please come come with several photos of hair color looks you are interested in so we can discuss. Also, bring any oral or topical prescriptions you have and take note of the products you currently use. You will receive a discount on MoKnowsHair products purchased during your consultation.
*If you are nursing or on any topical medications prescribed by a doctor for a scalp or skin condition, you will need a doctor's note clearing you for chemical services. If you are pregnant, receiving fertility treatments, in chemotherapy, radiation or dialysis you are not allowed to receive any chemical services.
NOTE: Color consultations are non-refundable. Your retainer will be deducted from total fee of your service. If it is determined that color is not the best option for you, your fee will be applied to a hair care appointment.
FAQs
Q: Can I do the color consultation virtually?
A: No, in order to fully and accurately assess your hair and perform a strand test, I need to see you in person.
HEALTHY HAIR FOUNDATIONS SERVICE (required for all first-time clients) - 2.5 hrs
It is my goal to give you a proper assessment and all the necessary tools to improve your experience with your hair. During this appointment we are setting the foundation for your healthy hair journey!
Here's what is included with your appointment:
- Healthy hair coaching to establish a regimen that supports your lifestyle and goals.
- If desired, color consultation (application service will be scheduled for future date).
- Tri-spectral (magnifying scope) scalp and strand analysis to assess the condition of your scalp and hair and identify any areas of concern for treatment.
- Scalp detox to exfoliate and rebalance pH.
- Clarifying cleanse (with filtered water) to remove build-up and outside pollutants from strands followed by moisturizing cleanse for replenishment and hydration.
- Micro-mist steam, deep conditioning elasticity treatment with hydration or repair booster (if needed).
- Hair shaping to create a silhouette that compliments your face and 3-dimensional appearance (curly cut, dry/stretched cut or trim TBD during appointment).
- Style of choice - wash-n-go (pending hair cooperation), blowout, silk press, twist-out.
- Discount on MoKnowsHair products purchased during service.

TREAT + STYLE SERVICE (returning clients only) - 2 hrs
Sometimes you just have to treat yourself! This service is designed for you to relax and receive a good cleanse, condition and beautiful style.
Here's what is included with your appointment:
- Scalp detox, clarifying cleanse and moisturizing cleanse (with filtered water) for replenishment and hydration.

COLOR APPLICATION SERVICE (returning clients only) - 2 hrs+
Hair color is a beautiful way to enhance the shape of your curls or elevate your look!
Color applications:
- single process (permanent or demi - one color)
- double process (lift + permanent color)
- highlights (half or full)
- balayage
All color services include treatment, cut/trim and style.
NOTE: An in-person consultation is required for this service.
SCHEDULING POLICY, TERMS + CONDITIONS
In order to provide the best service possible and be fair to other clients, you are required to comply with the Scheduling Policy, Terms + Conditions. Scheduling an appointment is your acceptance of the policies below.
SERVICE RETAINER:
A retainer (a.k.a. deposit) is required to schedule a service and it will be applied to your total fee after service. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours before or no-show, you forfeit your retainer and it is not refundable and non-transferable.
CANCELLATIONS:
If you cancel MORE than 48 hours in advance, you will receive a refund of your retainer minus a 3% processing fee.
If you cancel LESS than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time, you will forfeit the retainer fee of the service you scheduled.
You are allowed one courtesy reschedule without paying a new retainer fee. If you need to reschedule, please DO NOT cancel in the booking app. Send an email to appointments@moknowshair.com (more than 48 hrs before your appointment) with your name and appointment date/time and you will receive options to move your appointment.
Due to limited availability, after cancelling two appointments you will not be allowed to schedule any future appointments.
LATE POLICY:
We all know how Atlanta area traffic can be, so please plan extra time for your commute! If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, you will be charged a late fee equal to 50% of the service you scheduled and your service will be cancelled. You MUST arrive in the time allotted for your service for the late policy to be in effect. If you do not, you will be considered a "no-show" and charged 100% of the fee for your scheduled service.
If you are traveling in from out-of-town, keep in mind appointment dates/times are subject to change and you assume any financial or logistical risk associated. MoKnowsHair Salon is not responsible for expenses/loss associated with delayed/cancelled flights, traffic, inclement weather or other events that prohibit your on-time arrival the day of your appointment.
NO-SHOW POLICY:
If you do not cancel online and you do not arrive during the allotted time for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the fee for your scheduled service and you will not be allowed to reschedule in the future.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES:
- You must be 16 years of age or older to receive a service.
- Children and other guests are not allowed to be present in the salon and there is no waiting area in the facility (there are restaurants and shops in the area).
- Please use an email address you intend to check regularly; that is how you will receive communication regarding your appointment and any changes to your scheduled date/time. It is your responsibility to check your email and be responsive.
- If you schedule a service after a long-term style (braids, sew-in, wig, etc.), it is your responsibility to remove any braiding, adhesives, threading and shed hair as well as wash and detangle prior to your appointment. If you choose not to do so, you will be charged a fee equal to 50% of your scheduled service and your service will be cancelled.
- Normal detangling is a part of your service, however, if your hair is excessively soiled or tangled/loc'd/matted, you will be charged a fee for extra cleansing or detangling requiring more than the allotted time and we may have to omit other parts of your service to make-up that time.
- DO NOT wear thick-collared shirts, hoodies/hooded shirts unless you plan to take it off (they get in the way under the cape).
- All color services require a color consultation first. You can receive a color consultation during your first appointment or by scheduling a color consultation.
- If you need or have questions about ADA accommodations, please send an email to appointments@moknowshair.com prior to booking.
- If you are physically ill/contagious, send me an email to reschedule...please do not get me sick!
FEES:
All fees assessed for violation of the Scheduling Policy will be charged to the credit card you leave on file. Fees cannot be applied to future services. Scheduling an appointment is your acceptance of the policies outlined. No refunds, no exceptions.
REFUND POLICY:
All fees for services and product sales are final and non-refundable, no exceptions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The online system shows available dates and times; what you see is what is available at that time. You may continue to check for additions and subscribe for emails at the bottom of this page. Messages regarding availability will not be replied to.
- Please take time to find pictures of haircuts/styles you are interested in as a starting point for discussion during your service.
- You will receive a MoKnowsHair product discount for purchases made during your appointment. All sales are final.
- I do not have phone chargers to loan, please bring your own.
- If you are physically ill/contagious, send me an email to reschedule...please do not get me sick!
- FREE parking + complementary snacks, beverages and WiFi will be available during your appointment.
LOCATION:
MoKnowsHair Salon is located in Sola Salons, 3005 Old Alabama Rd., Johns Creek, GA 30022.
Parking is free. No walk-ins; appointments only.
Appointments are added up to a month forward. Availability is limited, but please do not get discouraged if you do not see any availability. There is no waiting list; you will need to check the booking site regularly for additions. Messages regarding availability will not be replied to.
