Use thermal serums/sprays that you apply to the hair when wet before blow-drying and flat-ironing. I recommend avoiding the sprays and glosses that are directed for use on dry hair right before ironing because they can cause burning to the cuticle of the hair if not properly absorbed, and they often create oily or sticky film on the hair.
