Wash-N-Go on Coily Natural Hair

Style Tutorial

In this tutorial, I show you how I restore my friend Alisha’s curls after a long-term protective style and how I set her hair in a wash-n-go. I also demonstrate how I “test” products to see how they may react when applied to the hair.

Featured products:

Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer is an intensive pre-poo treatment for all hair types. It adds elasticity, bounce, shine, makes hair more manageable and helps restore curls. What I loved most is you could literally feel the hair was smoother during and after rinsing.

Hydratherma Naturals Herbal Gloss Heat Protector is an alcohol free spray infused with lots of natural oils and extracts that help keep the hair moisturized. This glosser acts as a heat protectant and is suitable for wet or dry hair of any texture.

  1. I’m interested in the Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer, but was wondering if it contained silicones. Went to their website and it doesn’t list ingredients.

  2. Im transitinoning and I want to add color . Would I be able to color it while its curly or would I have to straighten my hair?

  3. Mo, I was watching the video on thw wash n go on Alicia hair after she took out her twist you mentioned she did a few thing to prep for the twist and while the twist were in. I was searching for that info on Your blog but I could not find it. I want to do braids as a protective stlye for the summer but I want to make sure I take care of my jair before and during properly. Thanks. Renee

  4. Are there any hair salons in the Brooklyn area that specialize in Natural Hair care. I would like to have my hair trimmed and conditioned. Thank You!

  5. You mentioned she has to be set for 30 minutes in this video. Do you mean she literally sits there for 30 minutes air drying or is she set under a dryer for 30 minutes?

    Thanks for the help!
