Creating MoKnowsHair® Curl Collection is the culmination of my experience, knowledge and skill over the course of my life. I could’ve never imagined the beautiful impact it would have, and I know that is all because of your support! I want to thank you all, with my whole heart, for being with me over the last nine years and cheering me on throughout my journey from content creator, to licensed stylist, to product innovator.
The global pandemic has presented many challenges to businesses in every industry. Supply chain breakdowns and shortages were not predictable and are STILL very present. Many vendors have risen to the challenge and restructured their logistics while others have struggled to adjust. Unfortunately, vendors I partnered with have been unable to adjust and as a result inventory, among other things, have been a constant challenge for the last year. It is clear to me that in order for MoKnowsHair® Curl Collection to be what I intended, I need to let go of what isn’t working and make room for what will.
In every season, we must be diligent with the gifts God gives us and be willing to trust that all things are working together for good. Because I have many receipts of God’s grace in my life, I am sure that the time is NOW for the season to change…
After September 30, 2022, my products will no longer be available at Sally Beauty (or anywhere else for a while). Should you find online vendors re-selling any products from MoKnowsHair® Curl Collection, I strongly discourage you from purchasing. There will be no guarantee of authenticity of the items as they would have been obtained as a paying retail customer just like each of you. No product has been distributed to any third-party vendors and no permissions have been granted for resale.
Over the coming months I will be working toward vetting new vendors and distribution. I do not have a timeline to share at this time.
The formulation and manufacturing process is far more complex than you all probably realize, and it takes many moving parts to produce products. I chose an uncommon route by going straight to retail versus launching on my own website first. That was a HUGE risk. Independent launch allows you to build the plane on the ground and make adjustments for vendor issues before going to retail. I am essentially making those decisions and adjustments with my plane already in the air. However, the risk was worth it because I have had a lot of success. Now, I can take this experience and apply the lessons learned forward.
Please know, this is not a sad occasion; it’s the territory that comes with owning a business and having to reimagine it over and over. The God I serve does not give me mess, only His best, that’s how I know when it’s time to walk into the next season!
While I work through this transition, I will still be your resident healthy hair stylist giving you the science-based information you need to have the best version of your hair!
